The Dynamic Sports Facilities team has recently completed a multisport court project on Lamb Island in Queensland. Located just off Brisbane in the southern part of Moreton Bay, the island has around 500 residents. The previous tennis court was built by the community around 30 years ago and was in need of repair.
Dynamic Sports Facilities came in and transformed the tired old tennis court into a functional and aesthetically pleasing modern sports facility for the community. The island community is now able to GET ACTIVE and play tennis and basketball on their multisport court.
Barry Rawlinson from the Lamb Island residents association said that Dynamic Sports Facilities were fantastic to work with.
“Their whole team was excellent and easy to deal with. They made the project a smooth process,” he said.
Given the location on an island, the logistics of the project were a little different to usual. Everything needed to build the multisport court was brought over by ferry or barge. The Dynamic Sports Facilities team removed the existing fence and set to work constructing a new slab for the court.
The slab was coated in Rebound Ace Sports ‘Synpave’ acrylic court surface in Byron Blue, with line marking for tennis and a half basketball court.
Installation of a basketball tower, tennis nets and poles and a new fence saw the project completed ready for the community to try out.
