Precision Earthworks and Site Preparation
To keep construction efficient and cost‑effective, all excavated soil was retained and reused on site. Even with tight access restrictions, our experienced construction team shaped, cut, and levelled the land with precision, achieving a flawless result without requiring soil removal from the property. High‑Performance Court Surface Designed for Canberra Conditions
The court finish features a sleek, single‑tone Grass Green surface designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment. Because Canberra experiences hot, dry weather, we installed CoolTop Sports Surface by California Sports Group—a technologically advanced coating capable of reducing surface temperatures by up to 30%. This ensures safer, more comfortable play during summer and improves long‑term surface durability. Sport-specific markings were added for Pickleball in white and for the Basketball key and three‑point arc in black. The court was intentionally left without Futsal line marking to maintain a clean visual aesthetic.
Premium Multi‑Sport Equipment for All Ages and Skill Levels
To support multiple sporting codes, DSFA installed high‑quality, durable equipment suitable for both recreational and competitive use. The basketball component features a premium Goalrilla CV72 system with full‑size 72‑inch backboard and height adjustability, making it ideal for players of all ages. For Pickleball, a portable net and post system allows quick setup and effortless storage, ensuring smooth transitions between sports. Futsal play is supported with 3‑metre by 2‑metre portable futsal goals, offering flexibility for training or casual matches.
Court Construction Engineered for Strength and Longevity
Although this court was not formally engineered, it was constructed to exceptionally high DSFA standards with durability, stability, and performance in mind. Key build specifications include a total area of 23.5m x 11m (259m²), a 100‑millimetre thick concrete slab, SL82 reinforcement mesh, and 300mm x 300mm edge beams with trench mesh for added strength. This robust construction ensures the court is built to last, withstand heavy use, and deliver years of reliable play.
Premium Fencing and LED Lighting for Extended Play
To complete the facility, DSFA installed a 3‑metre black powder-coated chain wire fence with top and bottom rails on three sides, including a single access gate. This fencing keeps balls in play while maintaining a clean, modern look. For night games, the court is illuminated by four 400W LED lights, delivering outstanding coverage across the entire playing area. Structural elements include 80NB corner posts, 40NB intermediate posts, and integrated 80NB light posts positioned along the fence line.
