Each year the governing body of our industry (SAPIA) hold their annual conference and on the agenda is recognising quality members and quality works. This year we were lucky enough to come away with two awards! The association awards these prizes for excellence in sport and recreation facility design, construction, maintenance, surfacing and servicing as well as product innovation. We’re very chuffed to be recognised for our work!
One of our multisport courts at a Bowral residence was the overall 2018 winner of the S3 domestic sports award for projects of less than $100,000.
Dynamic Sports Facilities built this north/south facing multisport court in February 2018, complementing a recently built home for this family who were looking to get active outdoors. The design incorporates line marking for tennis, with a basketball key and three-point line marking plus a basketball tower at the northern end and handball line marking at the southern end. A cricket wicket completes the northern end.
The court was built with a concrete waffle pod base with SL82 reinforcement. The California Sports Products Synpave acrylic surface in eye catching royal blue with a grass green surround looks amazing. The cricket pitch has an application of ‘Shield’ cricket synthetic grass in green.
We also picked up the runners up sports award for construction of a commercial court for the project we completed for Lalor Tennis Club in Victoria in February 2018.
Whittlesea Council, who funded the new facility, contracted Dynamic Sports Facilities to build two full size tennis courts and two hotshots courts, one of which also includes netball line marking.
This project involved considerable site preparation including excavation and drainage works before the pavement construction could begin.
The courts are finished in the Australian Open colours of blue on blue with a Rebound Ace HSA acrylic cushioned surface, giving maximum performance and comfort for players.
We also supplied and installed 3.6m high fencing, tennis nets and posts plus removable netball goal posts and lighting.
